Information about joining Friends of Red Rock Canyon:

We are working today... to protect tomorrow.

In 1984 a group of enthusiastic people formed Friends of Red Rock Canyon. The original mission was to provide volunteers for Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

Friends of Red Rock Canyon, Las Vegas, Nv., has since expanded our mission to provide not only critically needed volunteer assistance, but substantial financial support for education and environmental programs. During the past fiscal year Friends members donated over 21,000 volunteer hours and over $100,000 in direct support.

All members receive the following:

  1. Monthly emailed updates and the quarterly newsmagazine, the Rock, to stay informed of Red Rock Canyon related news, programs and issues,
  2. A 15% discount on purchases made at Elements, the Red Rock Canyon Interpretive Association Gift Store. All proceeds benefit Red Rock Canyon,
  3. Invitations to special members-only functions,
  4. Members volunteering more than 40 hours annually are also eligible for complimentary tickets to the Annual Volunteer Appreciation and Awards Banquet and recognition awards from Friends of Red Rock Canyon as well as a free Annual Red Rock Canyon Support Pass from the BLM and
  5. The satisfaction of knowing your are assisting in addressing the challenges facing Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area.
