Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area - forged under a deep ocean, an abundance of rich marine life flourishing and finally depositing shells and skeletons more than 9,000 feet thick.  This is just the beginning of the story of how Red Rock Canyon came to be.

This story of how our Canyon evolved from ocean floor to Majestic Mountains in an arid desert is only one factor that draws visitors and volunteers to Red Rock.
