The
following photos were taken on Red Rock Day, May 1, 2004. Over 200

Management and Friends of Red Rock Canyon preserve and protect
Nevada’s first National Conservation Area. Major projects were completed at the Visitor Center (painting and landscaping the PLANT nursery), Scenic Drive (painting restrooms), Campground (landscaping, painting restrooms, etc.) and Willow Springs/Lost Creek (placing preservative on walkways and bridges). In addition groups removed several dump sites and illegal fire rings, trimmed brush away from the scenic drive and picked up trash along State Route 159, Visitor Center, Red Springs and all trails and parking lots on the scenic drive. Volunteers were treated to a cookout for lunch procured and prepared by Friends members. Sponsors were, A.C.E. Distributing, Horizon Vending, Republic Silver State, and Friends of Red Rock Canyon Our thanks to all for, “Working today to preserve tomorrow”. |
